SOoooo Jill Scott and soon-to-be-ex-husband Mike Dobson really seem incapable of toning it down like ninety notches. Incredible.
“She’s an evil woman,” he once said. “I’m telling you. It’s like what Jill Scott wants, Jill Scott gets. People are in her ear, and if someone comes in to challenge the dumb [expletive], they made me be the bad guy and that got me outta there.”
A Tennessee judge on Monday denied Mike’s request for Jill to pay Mike approximately $6,500 for legal fees from the divorce and told the City of Atlanta employee that the prenup agreement he signed was still in play, which barred him from seeking support from Jill.
The judge said that Jill paying Mike’s legal fees would be akin to spousal support, a right that he signed away under the prenup. Jill’s lawyer also revealed that the singer paid Mike $20,000 about a week before she filed for divorce, court papers obtained by BOSSIP revealed.
“She did not throw him out with nothing,” Rose Palermo, a lawyer for Jill, apparently claimed at a hearing last month. “She gave him $20,000 when he left. And during the – during the course of the marriage, she deposited funds into an account for his – for his benefit.”

Mike later admitted that Jill gave him the $20,000, but said it was to pay for immediate “family expenses” and he never got a penny of it, court papers state.

Jill filed for divorce last year from Mike, her husband of just 15 months, citing irreconcilable differences and said them living together for any longer would be improper and potentially unsafe.
Mike soon countersued Jill, alleging that she coerced him into signing a bad prenup and bullied and intimidated him throughout the relationship. He has asked the judge to award him half of the assets the couple acquired during their short union.
Under their prenup, both agreed not to seek alimony, maintenance or spousal support…and there was a special provision that there would be no “marital property” generated from the union. The judge said that means, as of now, Mike cannot claim any stake in any income or assets outside of his own that were generated during the marriage.
