Kenya Moore has finally confirmed reports that she is expecting her first child with her husband, Marc Daly. The 47-year-old “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star revealed the big news during the Season 10 reunion show.
Host Andy Cohen asked Kenya during the Part 1 of the reunion if she had a baby on the way.
Moore stated, “We will definitely be welcoming a boy or girl in late this year. Oh my God, I said that! I don’t want to talk about the details because I’m still very nervous about everything so I want to get past a safe place.”
Cohen asked Moore if she was hoping for a baby boy or a girl, with the reality star replying, “I want a healthy baby.”
The news of the pregnancy comes nearly a year after Kenya tied the knot with Marc in a secret ceremony on a beach in St. Lucia.
In January, Moore stated on the “RHOA” after show, “We have been really upfront about wanting to expand our family, and we have definitely been taking the proper steps to try to make that happen.”
Moore and Daly first met met through mutual friends Chef Roble Ali back in June of 2016, although things didn’t turn romantic until December of that same year.
The “RHOA” star later gushed over their first date, saying, ““I’ve never experience a first date like this before. You know when you meet people, and you like them or have good chemistry with them but you don’t feel like the world has changed? I felt like the earth moved after our first date.”
Kenya hasn’t had the healthiest of relationships in the past and was determined to do things differently.
Life teaches many lessons, has many twists and turns, but always seems to present opportunities for a better today and tomorrow. I have looked for the wrong things in the past relationships. I have been wronged, and been hurt by others, but I’ve also doled out my share of pain and mistreatment. These all stemmed from not having deep love and relationships. Now, I have found love and want to start it with a clean slate. I want to put my past mistakes behind me and move forward positively with my new life. No more excuses, or negativity. I now have the chance to live not only for myself, but for my own family. The stakes are the greatest they’ve ever been in my life. Today is better than yesterday, and tomorrow will be better than today. Have a blessed Sunday. #love #life #newbeginnings #familyfirst #ThatsMrsDalyToYou
She admitted, “I was always the person who ran. Any time I ever saw anything I didn’t like in someone, I just ran. And it was not working for me. I want people to stick with me and work it out if they care, so I can’t run. You have to communicate honestly with each other and never give up on each other.”
